Starting with a TV-shaped cardboard box at age five, Ryan began to explore the field of meteorology and cultivate his knowledge in weather. In January 2007 Ryan launched a Louisville, Kentucky weather website called Ryan Weather. During its tenure Ryan delivered a weather forecast on live TV, won awards from both WAVE 3 News and The Weather Channel, and accepted a position with Storm Chasing Adventure Tours.
Ryan's passion for weather led him to Mississippi State University where he studied professional and broadcast meteorology. While attending the unviersity as a Distinguished Scholar he earned accolades from the National Weather Association, American Meteorological Society, Broadcast Education Association, and was inducted into MSU's own Society of Scholars. Ryan also served as the Saturday morning and weekend fill-in weathercaster at WBBJ-TV in Jackson, Tennessee from 2010 to 2013. As a member of the WAVE 3 News Storm Tracking Team in Louisville, Kentucky Ryan is excited to be living out his childhood dream in his home town.
